I have been an active Teamster for 15 years, served our Teamster members as chief steward for 6 years, appointed Business Representative in January 2000.

I represent approximately 1100 warehouse Teamsters at the Safeway distribution center, Summit Logistics.  It is a time in history when employers not only use strong-arm tactics, but also very sophisticated means to take advantage of workers.  It is difficult for our brothers and sisters to meet the unfair “production standards” at those warehouses that some of the results are on the job injuries, permanent disabilities, and termination of employment.  

With the help of my brothers and sisters at Safeway warehouses, we work together to fight back against all the unfair labor practices that management commits on a daily basis.  I am assisting in every way to secure, identify, correct contract violations for the best interest of our members and their families.
